We are dedicated to making the Renewable Energy Grid Integration Week as sustainable as possible. Our measures focus on reducing emissions, conserving resources, and encouraging participants to join us in protecting the environment.

• Our venue is easily accessible by public transport for European participants
• Hotel recommendations are within walking distance of the venue
• Side events take place within walking distance to avoid additional transport
• We recommend online CO₂ offsetting for unavoidable travel emissions. Get some information here
• We encourage climate-friendly travel by train, public transport, or walking
• Arrival information highlights public transport connections

• Physical conference materials and bags are only provided upon request
• We reuse materials such as displays, roll-ups, stands, lanyards, and name badges
• Service providers are encouraged to avoid disposable items and use reusable options (glass bottles, rechargeable batteries, washable microphone covers, etc.)
• Transport of goods is organized to avoid disposable packaging
• Paper use is minimized through digital event information like invitations and programs via email, newsletters and the conference app.
• When printing is necessary, we use recycled paper

• 100% vegetarian and vegan catering
• Quantities are calculated to avoid food waste; surplus food is offered for reuse
• Reusable tableware and cutlery are used instead of disposables
• Separate collection of paper, plastic, and food waste

• The venue runs on 100% renewable electricity.
• Energy-efficient lighting and equipment (LED, stand-by reduction) are used

• Presentation materials are made available digitally after the event
• We work with regional service providers wherever possible
• Participants are encouraged to bring their own reusable bottles and cups, and to follow sustainable practices during the event
